Senior Maintenance Technician

*SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION*
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production and facility unassisted. Perform emergency repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment and facilities. Possess general knowledge of electricity and perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair. Perform basic welding skills using arc and MIG welding machines. Read and interpret equipment operating manuals, parts manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Use of computer to access CMMS (Odyssey) to search for repair parts and materials, look up equipment bill of materials, and create work orders. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of hydraulic, pneumatic, water and sewer plumbing maintenance functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, conditions, defective material and report them to the proper authority. Help train general maintenance, maintenance specialists and maintenance technicians. Be able to climb and work in high areas (manlift, stairs and ladders). Operate mobile quipment and crane as necessary. Perform other work as directed by supervisor. This position may be classified as a lead person which will perform job duties as assigned. Keep work area clean and orderly. Correct and/or report all hazards. Know safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety. Must have a minimum of 5+ years maintenance experience or experience and training equivalent.
