We are seeking to hire an experienced Automation Technician to join our team, whose primary responsibilities are to monitor and maintain plant control systems, as well as the plant’s Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS).

This position’s prime objective is the preventive/predictive maintenance program of the control system, by focusing on optimization and reliability of equipment; make changes in logic and process controls in the DCS within a cement manufacturing environment. This is accomplished by building the system and controls, planning, designing, coordinating, scheduling and supervising corrective maintenance projects assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

• Prefer a two (2) year technical degree or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in the electrical field
• Strong maintenance and control background with an emphasis on improving reliability.
• Familiarity with equipment and operational aspects of a cement manufacturing company a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information.
• Good organization, human relations and decision making abilities.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
