Purpose/Introduction

Performance Pipe is currently seeking a Safety & Training Representative to join our Pryor, OK plant team. This position will coordinate all plant safety, health, environmental, and security related issues and manage the internal EHS&S-related employee training program activities. This position is safety sensitive and subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the on-boarding process of new hires including orientation and training
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety strategies, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct inspections for storm water, SPCC, and federal air quality
  • Manage permitting requirements and complete compliance reports, including but not limited to OSHA recordkeeping, Tier II Reports, SARA 313 Form R, and facility emission’s tracking
  • Support incident investigation, reporting, and leading/participating on hazard analysis evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with company, local, state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Serve as point of contact for Safety issues during regulatory and company audits
  • Interact with plant operations, maintenance, and contractors ensuring safe work practices.
  • Procedural development and delivery of EHS&S training
  • Conduct periodic audits of potentially hazardous work areas, process operations, work practices, and procedures
  • Coordinate ongoing OSHA VPP strategies
  • Monitor and maintain our plant Management of Change process
  • Act as a liaison between the hourly employee safety committee and management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent educational credentials OR High school diploma and 5+ years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of safety related work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, be well organized and be capable of promoting change for continuous improvement in plant safety
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment and communicating with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to EHS&S processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OSHA manufacturing/industrial regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with behavioral-based safety concepts and processes
  • C.S.P and C.I.H. Certification
