Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for 1) supervise Maintenance Technicians on day-to-day preventive and predictive maintenance activities, 2) preparing, controlling, and coordinating the daily maintenance work as executed by the team or by contractors, 3) maintaining and improving the safe and reliable operation of the production process and other activities within the plan, 4) works with Maintenance Planner to communicate maintenance plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders, 5) support of business activities, 6) continuously looking for improvement opportunities, and 7) fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement to drive increased reliability and gained efficiencies. This position reports into the Maintenance Manager and works with multiple levels at the site to ensure cooperation and coordination of all departments to meet production requirements. This includes the following:

• Enforce safety protocols and guidelines within the maintenance department and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Prepare, coordinate, and control the daily activities of the plant including mechanical and plumbing and repair activities to ensure high productivity, quality, and safety,
• Fill in for E&I Supervisor during days off (vacation and for 1 day a week for rotating schedule),
• Supervises team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance, training, and support. Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed by the maintenance team,
• Works with Maintenance Planner to communicate maintenance plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders and collaborate with other departments, such as production or engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and materials necessary for maintenance tasks and coordinate with procurement and supply chain departments to ensure the availability of required parts and supplies.
• Monitor and control maintenance-related expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Ensures team utilizes root cause analysis to eliminate bad actors,
• Works closely with the Millwright, Maintenance technicians and Maintenance Engineer to review and correct findings from root cause analysis and from monitoring of rotating equipment, ex. from vibration or oil analysis
• Leads and participates in annual audits for optimization, customer audits and ISO 9001:2015 internal audits,
• Works with teams to identify capitals needs related to asset integrity and in long term capital planning,
• Participates in the development of best practices to ensure asset integrity,
• Coordinates inspection of static equipment,
• Participates in scoping and implementation of small to medium sized capital projects,
• Participates in turnaround scope challenge, ensures all inspections are carried out as required during the turnaround, and works with the Maintenance team to evaluate found work and assesses criticality of unexpected findings during the turnaround.
• Maintains records and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work orders and maintenance history.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferred
• 3+ year of supervisory experience, preferred
