- Design coils based on customer specifications. Send finished drawing to Sales for review.
- Draw up sheet metal specifications from the customer drawings, circuiting, and headers and release Bill of Materials.
- Retrieve information from coil drawing and drawing requests and design structure/sheet metal for coils.
- Support service department and work with sales (troubleshooting).
- Work with purchasing to procure material and parts ordered.
- Create and review BOM’s from coil drawing.
- Resolve coil issues in the shop.
- Review and implement change notices.
- Work with all departments on obtaining information.
- Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your supervisor.
- Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
| Desired qualifications | Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Experience: Design education or experience or coil building experience greater than 1 year. Skills: Ability to use Microsoft productivity software. Previous experience with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks is preferred, or similar designing software. Effective oral and written communication skills. Multi-tasking abilities. Strong interpersonal skills. Construction and/or fabrication skills in any area are generally beneficial. Certificates, Licenses, or training: Any design classes, HVAC courses, or related manufacturing education | Interaction with others | Answers to Coil Engineering Manager. In constant communication with sales and production. The employee must be able to work with all employees of the RAE team and show a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization. | Working environment | The job is conducted primarily in a climate-controlled office setting, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing environment, including moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
