The summer internship starts in May and ends in August. Interns will work alongside service test technicians and those in the quality control department for a local manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Education & Experience: Student enrolled in an accredited degree program for ACR or Engineering.
Skills: Effective communications skills & listening skills. Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch. Basic computer skills.

Work is performed in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is high in some areas. Exposed to extreme temperatures in summer and to live electrical power when testing equipment. Possible stress caused by the pressure of meeting deadlines and product quality standards.
