Requirements The Finance Director for USFS FP&A will be responsible for helping lead the USFS FP&A team and process. This person will lead the group responsible for supporting and driving process improvement in the field, including defining, developing, and documenting best practices in the organization. The team also helps with process standardization and training and development of standard practices. This individual will also, at times, support the USFS forecasting and planning process. This person will communicate and drive initiatives from the GSC to the field finance org.

Summary of Job Purpose:
The Finance Director for USFS FP&A will be responsible for helping lead the USFS FP&A team and process. This person will lead the group responsible for supporting and driving process improvement in the field, including defining, developing, and documenting best practices in the organization. The team also helps with process standardization and training and development of standard practices. This individual will also, at times, support the USFS forecasting and planning process. This person will communicate and drive initiatives from the GSC to the field finance org.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and coach team members
Working with both field and GSC stakeholders, help to develop and drive process improvement in field finance function
Help drive improve cadence for USFS forecasting
Support the Annual Growth Plan process
Work with GSC partners to create and build out better training and development process for USFS field finance roles
Lead various finance projects as directed by leadership team.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required
Education Preferred:
MBA Preferred
Experience Required:
5 – 7 years in finance or accounting
Technical Skills and Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization (executive to associate level)
Strong analytical skills, with advanced excel skill
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrate strong, proactive problem solving skills
