The tasks of the shipping and receiving department at TCI Manufacturing are to load and unload materials coming and going from the shop. When a job is complete and ready to ship there are multiple ways to ship - pulled or freighted on a semi, loading small parts orders on pallets or boxes, and/or shipping through carriers. Shipping and receiving personnel do a variety of work that has a range of motion from standing, kneeling, crouching and walking, also occasionally climbing but not without a harness being worn over 4ft. Shipping and Receiving is expected to learn safe and proper operation of forklift, telehandler and yard crane.
